We have combined the authentic French language—spoken by an array of culturally informed native speakers—with the latest, most comprehensive technology yet devised for language learning: Audiomation™.

The Audiomation technology is, in a word, dazzling! For perhaps the first time ever, authentic advanced French language materials are accessible to beginner level language learners. Using synchronisation of audio and text our new computer-based, self-installing software allows you to review and learn the spoken language at your own pace.

At your fingertips are four speeds of synchorized audio and text allowing you to comprehend the phrasing and inflection of each spoken word. The on-screen text features one-click access to translations and cultural notes combined with point-and-click play/pause controls so you can choose to repeat a single word or phrase as many times as you wish. You no longer need to reach for the dictionary or rewind your CD/Cassette player. Just click what you need, when and where you wish, for instant uninterrupted learning at the precise point of contact between you and the language.

Word and line highlighting and a special green and red "word boxing" visual style trains your eye to each specific word as it is pronounced. You can change font-sizes or screen-sizes to your preferences, and scroll both the text and vocabulary definitions at your own personal optimum listening speed.

The Audio Mates: Voyage en France program is arranged into seven chapters with an introduction and six intensively glossed, annotated, audiomated chapters taken from Balade en France, our famous audio guided tour of the regions of France presented by Champs-Elysées host Georges Lang. In the program you’ll tour Lyon and the chateau of Chambord, son et lumière spectacles across France, the Brière marsh and the cave of Lascaux and travel to Corsica with Georges and his many guests. You’ll have fun while learning French with Audio Mates: Voyage en France. Also included are a printable vocabulary and verbatim transcription of the audio text.
